SDG 3: "Good Health and Well-being" seeks to secure healthy lives and promote well-being for all, considering numerous medical problems worldwide. 
In achieving SDG3, UNIMAS collaborates with local, national, and global health institutions, facilitating research and knowledge sharing to enhance healthcare services. UNIMAS has runs various comprehensive health outreach programs in the community, . These programs involve both student and staffs actively engaging with local residents to improve their overall well-being. Inside campus, UNIMAS promotes healthy lifestyle through the provision of facilities such as sport facilities. UNIMAS also prioritizes students' well-being by offering free health-care services and support for both student and staff. UNIMAS maintains a 'smoke-free' policy on campus, creating a healthier environment for everyone.

Bringing Health Closer to the Community: CAKnA 2025 in Tringgus Bong and Sadong Jaya

CAKnA 2025 (Citra Akademik untuk Komuniti dan Alam), organised by Doctor of Public Health students from UNIMAS in collaboration with Universiti Malaya, was conducted in Kampung Tringgus Bong and Kampung Sadong Jaya Tengah to bring healthcare services closer to rural communities. The two-day programme focused on preventive health awareness through group aerobics, health screenings such as blood pressure, glucose and BMI checks, and personalised consultations. Educational booths promoted healthy eating, active lifestyles and rabies prevention. The initiative enhanced residents’ health knowledge, strengthened university–community partnerships, and provided students with valuable experience in communication, counselling and community engagement skills.

UNIMAS and SGH Launch Bed Management Dashboard to Improve Patient Care

UNIMAS, in collaboration with Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), has introduced a Bed Management Monitoring Dashboard to optimize hospital resource use and enhance patient care. Developed by UNIMAS’s ISITI, FCSIT, and FMHS teams, the dashboard provides real-time updates on bed availability, streamlines patient flow, and simplifies reporting tasks. The initiative strengthens digital healthcare solutions in Sarawak and reflects the positive impact of academic-hospital partnerships.
