SDG 17 : Partnerships for Goals
SDG 17, "Partnerships for the Goals," focuses on strengthening global collaboration and cooperation to achieve Sustainable Development Goals. It emphasises the importance of collaborations between corporations, governments, and other groups in order to exchange resources and expertise for effective sustainable development.
Relationships to support the goals
Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) strengthened its sustainability efforts through the Environmental Policy Workshop held on 10 December 2024 at Kota Samarahan. Organized by ISuRE in collaboration with the UNIMAS Sustainability Center (USC), the workshop aimed to refine the university’s draft environmental policy and align it with its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.
The workshop gathered representatives from various departments to discuss key areas such as governance structures and waste management. This initiative marks another step toward UNIMAS’s goal of becoming a low-carbon campus by 2030, highlighting its continued commitment to sustainability and environmental leadership in higher education.
