SDG 17 : Partnerships for Goals
SDG 17, "Partnerships for the Goals," focuses on strengthening global collaboration and cooperation to achieve Sustainable Development Goals. It emphasises the importance of collaborations between corporations, governments, and other groups in order to exchange resources and expertise for effective sustainable development.
Relationships to support the goals
Gearing towards sustainability, UNIMAS have been actively contributing into local and national level Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) policy development. UNIMAS are committed to driving positive societal and environmental change through our active participation in shaping sustainable policies and solutions.
Sarawak Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Roadmap WorkshopURBANICE Malaysia organized the Sarawak Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Roadmap Workshop in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government (MPHLG) Sarawak and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). It took place on the 27th and 28th of July 2022 at the Raia Convention Hotel in Kuching. The workshops bring together all local governments in Sarawak to interact, exchange ideas, and plan for Sarawak's sustainable future.
UNIMAS and Kota Samarahan Local Council in Kota Samarahan Clean, Safe and Green Programme
In 2022, UNIMAS also collaborated with Kota Samarahan local council to initiate a program aimed at enhancing the cleanliness, safety, and greenery of the city. (News Link)

At UNIMAS, we are deeply committed to promoting meaningful education about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across our university. We have taken the initiative to align every Course Learning Outcome with the corresponding SDGs, thereby ensuring the relevance and applicability of these global objectives to all our students.
